Visiting Your School or Homeschool

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

Jean is available for virtual or in-person school visits. She has a variety of hands-on workshops for students in grades 4 through 12. They include: Rhythm and Rhyme, Three Steps to a Story, What is a Picture Book?, and Fiction or Nonfiction?

For kindergartners through second graders Jean’s school visit involves part or all of reading aloud The Blessings of Fall, discussing the text and/or art, singing and keeping rhythm with the hymn “All Things Bright and Beautiful” and completing a simple, fun activity with students. The visits can be easily integrated into the core subjects of Language Arts (reading and writing), Science, Bible and/or the Arts.

Jean will also leave each teacher an activity packet aligned with Common Core Standards. She requests that your school send home to parents her flier with information for ordering a copy of The Blessings of Fall  for their child(ren).

A discount is available to schools that order quantities of 20 or more books. A detailed Unit Lesson Plan meeting Kentucky State Standards is included with each order.

Jean is a former Christian schoolteacher and principal. Her presentations for kindergartners, first and second graders require 30 – 45 minutes each, dependent upon the grade level and size of the group.

Workshops for older students (grades 4 through 12) require 45 minutes.
