Ohio Christiain Writers Conference Part 2

IMG_4025Last weekend, Thursday, Nov. 2 – Saturday, Nov. 4, I attended the Ohio Christian Writer’s Conference.

Keynote speakers included Bob Hostetler, Michelle Medlock Adams and Edie Melson.

I must say, first of all, that it was the most FUN Conference I’ve ever attended. I made quite a few new friends in the writing world and that’s always a plus!

The praise and worship times were refreshing, and the key note speeches were some of the most inspiring I’ve ever heard.

For me the best workshop was Edie Melson’s “Making Marvelous Memes.” It was totally practical and one of the most informative workshops I’ve attended. Edie talked about Meme’s and why they are important to social networking. She briefly explained several programs and apps for making Memes. The highlight, however, was that she walked us step-by-step through iPiccy and Word Swag.

For writers—like me—who are not really tech-savvy Edie’s tutorial was a God-send. Precisely!

A big THANKS to Cyle Young and Bethany Jett, everyone and Serious Writer and Almost An Author for putting together an eventful weekend.

I went crazy with my camera. So, I’ll let photos do the rest of the talking for me.

    • You know what a meme is! You just don’t know that you know. 🙂 It’s text superimposed over a graphic. That’s all. But there are some tricks to making great ones. I will plan a post about them soon.
