A book review by Jean Matthew Hall of a Kevin Henkes picture book.
A GOOD DAY was written by Kevin Henkes and published by Greenwillow Books in 2007. Again Henkes takes a simple, ordinary event and turns it into something delightful for young children. This picture book starts off with a very bad day for a bird, a dog, a fox and a squirrel.
But a change in perspective changes that same day into a delightful one.
Just a shift in perspective. So, I think that this little Henkes gem is about just that—perspective or attitude.
This book is a good morning read when your little person wakes up on the wrong side of the bed!
