Writing & Sharing Encouraging Words

Last week I finished a new picture book manuscript. When I say "finished" that means that I have prayed, written, gotten feedback and critique, revised, corrected, let it brew, then revised again. I've made this manuscript the best that I possibly can. It's truly difficult to decide when a manuscript is "finished"--when it's as good as I can possibly make it. It's scary to decide it's done and it's time for me to send it out into the world of agents and/or publishers.

It's scary, but necessary. At some point we have to muster enough confidence to decide it's time to let go.

Of course any editor or agent who likes it will want changes, tweaks.

But I must have confidence in my skill as a writer, and confidence that God has a place for this story. Then let go.

I'd appreciate your prayers for this manuscript to find God's publishing home for it.

I have to remind myself that beyond my thoughts, beyond my doubt, beyond life's clouds God IS. And He is faithful to me, to you, to His Word.
